UN-310 Camera Top Instructions

Features: This is our standard ball base which has been enhanced with the addition of a removable camera stud and foam rubber pad. The hole and slot pattern around the perimeter of the flange are sized and arranged to accommodate several roles. The AMPS Standard (1-3/16 x 1-1/2) mounting pattern for small electronic devices is compatible. U-bolts for 1” to 1-1/2” tubing can be used. Close inspection will reveal a slight ridge around the perimeter of the bottom of the flange, which is a locator for certain Garmin* devices. Just using the holes and slots allows a solid connection to whatever needs a mount. At the base of the ball stem is a lanyard loop for extra security.

Application: In using the camera stud, check that it is not so long as to bottom out in your camera. It shouldn’t, but it is always better to be safe than sorry. Also, do not OVERTIGHTEN if you are using the threaded hole for some other application. That could loosen the nut insert and may void your guarantee.

Handlebar Clamp Instructions
UN-105 / SH-174 / SH-228

This handlebar mounting system is rated for devices up to 2 lbs. in continuous use. The clamping base accommodates tubing from ¾” to 1-1/4” diameter. To mount on tubing as large as 1-3/4” diameter, use a 3” long bolt (1/4-20 SAE).

  • For ¾” to 7/8” diameter tubing the clamp base should be inverted as shown in illustration A.

  • Illustration B is recommended for tubing from 7/8” to 1-1/4” diameter tubing. Longer bolts (1-1/2” or 3”) will be necessary for the full range of mounting.

Protective pads are supplied, and should be placed on the clamp or tubing to protect the handlebar.

Bolts: (2) bolts are included with your handlebar clamp, (1) 2-1/4” and (1) 1-1/4”. The 2-1/4” bolt is used on the ball side of the clamp. By substituting a 1-1/2” bolt in place of the 1-1/4” bolt the clamp will accommodate up to 1-1/4” handlebars. To clamp on 1-3/4” tubing, use a 3” bolt on the ball end of the clamp and use the 2-1/4” bolt on the nut end.
